The Bussey Home

Hi yall!

This is a pretty bold and fun bathroom. There are plenty of ways to tone it down if you feel like it's too much. I think it's awesome though. Let me know!

I'd do white walls (SW Snowbound) everywhere except for behind the vanity. Also, we got a toilet like this in the girls bathroom. One piece, no weird toilet base to clean. Its the best. I'd do a mat around one of the prints so that you can make them a little more varied in size. I'm also realizing you wouldn't need a bar below the shelf above the sink since the sink has a bar for a towel. Here's the floor tile. Also, the price on the lights is for 2. Check out a close up of the mirror. It's kinda rusty/ old looking. I think it's such a cool way to add texture and switch up the sleek lines of everything else.

Catherine, here's what I have for your front room.

The links can all be found below but things like a dining table as a desk and a chair or bench might be easy to find on places like marketplace. ( I linked to a couple options in chairs and another bench) Also, I have no idea why some of the pictures below are blurred out.. sorry about that

I'd plan on getting built ins with storage cabinets at the bottom. Something like this:

Your could even add a place to sit like this so that yall could both work in there at the same time.

The white console could hold your printer and stuff for now and then once you have cabinets to store that stuff, you could move it to the section of wall that you see when you walk through the front door. (to the right of the doors to the den)

I linked to curtains and a rod. I'd buy the longest rod and hang it as long and high as you can. Buy the curtains that are closest to your ceiling height. This will make the windows look larger and ceilings look higher. You probably wont need anything else on that wall.

Before the built in's come, depending on how much you want to do with the mirrored could remove it, just paint over it or even use temporary wallpaper right over the mirror. Something like this would be pretty.

I'd love to come help you style to shelves someday. I thought a cute little fan would be pretty and functional. Large scale pictures of the boys would be awesome stacked on the wall next to the built ins and to the left of the doors to the den.

That's what I've got! Let me know if you have any questions or if there's anything you'd like to me to change.
