Living Room update with eSaleRugs

I feel like I could change my blog to one solely on rugs and still be able to post once a week. I really do love them. Always have, always will. They are such a great way to pull together or change the look of a room. When eSaleRugs contacted me about a new rug, obviously I jumped at the chance.

I loved the neutral look I had going in the living room, but the rug we had there before (I talked about it in this post) was woven and I learned quickly that it was hard to vacuum and clean. It didn't work well for an area with such high traffic. So with that look in mind, I shopped eSaleRugs. They have tons of rugs to choose from. There are lots of  'one of a kind' persian and oriental rugs and then a big selection of new-from-the-manufacturer rugs.

Picking rugs for the open floor plan in our house is tough because they all have to work well together. Since I already knew I loved the look of the light and bright neutral I picked a 9x12 Monaco Rug in beige.

It's so pretty! It's vintage looking with faded areas and darker parts in some spots. It's soft and acts as a great neutral to this room.

It comes in lots of colors including a more grey toned one but our house is much warmer and needed more of a taupe tone in order to work with what we already have.

It's not a super thick rug or anything. That's not something I cared about. We have a rug pad underneath ours. I talk about how rug pads are a life changer, here. The eSaleRugs website lists each rug's thickness so make sure you check that if you're looking for something specifically thick.  This one seems to be great quality and is super soft which is what I was hoping for.

It's a great fit for the space too. We've never had anything bigger than an 8x10 rug mainly only because of cost reasons. Usually 9x12's are a huge increase in price. This rug, from eSaleRugs, was $199. That's such a great value. That seems closer to the price point of a smaller rug so I was excited for a chance to have a rug that better fits the room.

We're so happy with the rug! It gives me the look I wanted but is so much more practical for the space. And look how the colors in the rug go so well with all my warm wood accents. Totally planned it!
